About 2 weeks ago, I found another lump on Mocha. The vet did a fine needle biopsy in the office, and did not find any abnormal cells. However, the lump has continued to change size constantly. I made the decision to have the lump removed, especially given her history of mast cell tumor. She will be having surgery tomorrow morning, and I should find out early next week the diagnosis. I will post later tomorrow to let everyone know how she is doing.

Mocha is home and resting. The vet said he removed the entire lesion, that it was encapsulated. I took tomorrow off fom school so I can be home with her. I will update more either tomorrow or over the weekend. The biopsy is already at the lab, so I should hear the results next week.

Obviously we got this off of the "reduced for quick sale" shelf at the bakery but Jake & Gunther wanted their friend Mocha to enjoy some cake to help her in a speedy recovery.

Mocha is doing great. She is now 3 days post-op, and is back to her normal (crazy) self. She stopped whining yesterday, so I decided to try today without any pain meds. She is showing no signs of pain. Instead, she is begging me to play with her.

The vet gave me the OK to try agility tomorrow night with her. I am going to take her, but keep the jumps low and see how she does.

The other good news is, he thinks she will be able to participate at Edison! She gets her sutures out the Monday of that week, and due to school conflict, I won't be in Edison until Saturday. We will see how she does up until then.

Oh, and Matt, I LOVE the cake.
