Tundra at the Vet tomorrow Empty Tundra at the Vet tomorrow

I have to say I have a wonderful vet. We are getting Tundra spayed tomorrow. This has been a long throught out decission that was pretty difficult for us to make but decided it was best in the long run for her and the breed as a whole.

But as you all know Tundra is not a big fan of strangers. So my vet is being awesome and letting me help with getting her sedated. He said I can even be in the surgery room if I want to for the procedure. I can't decide what I am going to do on that. Knowing my luck I would stay and something would go wrong and I would just freak out! LOL. And then of course I get to be there with her as she wakes up. I am so thankfull to have an awesome vet that allows us to do stuff like this. I have stood in during neuters of foster dogs as well. He is such a cool vet.

But just keep little Tiny T in your thoughts tomorrow! :-)

We'll say a little prayer that everything goes smoothly tomorrow.

If you're worried about being there for the surgery, why not stay for the initial sedation and prep but then just hang out in the waiting room or go for a walk while they do the surgery ... it's doesn't take that long ... then they can bring you back once the vet closes the incision and starts the wake-up and you can be with her during that. It sounds like you've got a great vet who would be more then willing to work with you on that.

Yeah I probably will just hang out for the sedation portion and then ask them when to head back for after surgery. My feed store for the horses is litterly around the corner and I need feed so I will just swing there probably during surgery and then come back over.

Tundra did great through surgery and is just hanging at the vet office til about 5 pm relaxing. That is the best spot right now for her as I know our crew wouldn't let her relax the way she needs to for the afternoon. So she is doing great and was very groggy still when I left. But awake and doing well.

Good to hear Beth, please keep us posted. I'm sure she can't wait to get home. The hard part will be keeping her quiet! Please give her a hug for us.
