The park is in the building stage. After a three hour meeting I attended and 'testified' at a couple weeks ago, they got approved and I think are breaking ground this month. It will be a private park with membership fee but will be well worth it. I'm sure the lady in charge will be very excited to have a club based there.

Do you know if they'll have any other requirements besides the fee? I'm concerned because I know of some private parks that require all dogs to be neutered and over vaccinated.

I don't think she's going to require that they be neutered, but if a dog shows aggression issues it may not be welcome in the area where dogs run loose. Not sure on vaccinations yet.

Do we have any idea when the new dog park and more imporantly, the pool West Michigan Club? Icon_biggrin , is expected to open?

Is the purpose of the West Michigan club to host practice sessions, events or both?

If anyone has started working on this, please let me know what I can do to help.

My wife and I would like to help with a West Michigan Club. We are from Hudsonville and are hoping that we will be within 30 - 45 mins of the club HQ. Let us know if we can do anything to further this along.

Is there any further info on the West Michigan Club??? I know the dog park in Vicksburg is open now, but I don't know about a pool or anything. Anyone have any new info?

The dog park is in Kalamazoo. Here's their web site http://meadowrunpark.com/home

It opens today. Membership is going to be expensive and it's far enough away from my house that I won't get my money's worth. They also require some vaccine boosters that I won't give to my dog because of prior complications and an auto-immune condition, so I won't be joining.
