It is with a sad and heavy heart that I would like everyone to know that my Best Friend Sparky has passed on. He turned 11 this year and he passed on 11-11-11 at 9:50 this morning. He is now without pain or worries and I know he will be waiting for me in Heaven. I will post more later about this great dog! Thanks! MILT and Cathi Wilcox

I am so sorry to hear this. He was such a lucky dog having the home that he did, and I'm sure you count yourselves lucky to have been blessed by such a wonderful boy. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

This is shocking and so devastating to hear. Milt, my heart goes out to you. Sparky was an incredibly remarkable dog with a heart of gold. Within the dock jumping sport and community, Sparky was a legend and a constant joy. He will be missed greatly and remembered fondly. There was never a better "crowd dog" or "mascot." From the very first UAD event and each one he attended after, Sparky always knew where to be and what to do in order to help out around the dock or entertain the spectators. He always did, and always will, stand out as one of the greats within the sport. You have my most heartfelt condolences during this time of sadness. May his memories be a comfort to you and a reminder of the friendship he gave you.

I am beyond sorry for your loss. There are no words to describe how amazing a dog and friend Sparky was. I will never forget him hunting me down at events and demanding his butt scratches from me all the while looking back at me with such a smile on his face. Everyone who had the chance to meet him and really know him is a very lucky person. My thoughts are with the entire Wilcox family during this rough time. Hugs and kisses from the BC boys to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, Milt. Sparky was a wonderful dog and a great showman. The thing I remember most about Sparky was how small children's eyes would light up when they would get to meet him and they would be eye-to-eye with the dog that was just performing the amazing jumps they had seen. The smiles were priceless. That's what the sport is all about.

You gave him the last great gift, his wings to what is next. Sparky was an amazing dog who left pawprints on the hearts of all who knew him. No matter how long our dear friends are with us, it is never long enough. My heart goes out to you all during this difficult time. So sorry for your loss...

Art and I want to extend our deepest sympathies in your loss. Sparky was an AWESOME dog with a wonderful personality, that was bigger than life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The Wilcox Family,

Thinking of you and your family. Dogs just give us all they have and no matter what you do they still wag their tail when we come in the room.

We lost our beloved Jessalyn last Feb with a spleen tumor also. I think about her everyday; there are those that are very special to our hearts and Sparkey was one of them.

I know Jess was at the rainbow bridge ready to greet Sparkey and they are both running and playing; until we see them again..

I was at your event last Saturday in Indy. The guy doing all the announcing (he was great) informed everyone at the event of Sparky's passing. Gave a brief bio on all Sparky had done. Brought a moment of levity to the event. Godspeed good dog.

Saprky was the ultimate and supreme dogfather. He was one of the great forefathers of the sport, brought us all Milt and Ultimate Air Dogs, and was respected by all other dogs. I was lucky enough to see the Sparky smile a few times : ) He was truly a wonderful dog that will leave a lasting pawprint on all of us and the sport of dock jumping. Sparky, you will be greatly missed.
