Here's an update. Engle's the grocery store chain is giving out $2,500 in store gift certificates for prize money at this year's event. We are going to have division competition's every day with gift certificate's given out every day. $500 on Friday-$1,000 on Saturday and Sunday. This is a great event with some of the best music entertainment around.

Bele Chere is one of the nicest events you can attend. Asheville is a great city and there's plenty to do during this festival. Lots of gift certificates from Ingles stores. This will be the big dock and pool it will be located downtown Asheville with huge crowds at every splash!

Very cool. We are still looking into the possibilities of going to this event but I hope we are able to!

Each division will get gift certificates for 1-3rd places. Friday $500 and Saturday and Sunday $1000. We are giving out the certificates each day so you don't have to be there every day unless you want to try for more.

while you are in Ashville you need to tour the Biltmore Estate.
It is,as they say today, totally awesome!!

The History of America's Largest Home

Building Biltmore was, at the time, one of the largest undertakings in the history of American residential architecture and the results were astounding. Over a six-year period, an entire community of craftsmen (1000) worked to build the country's premier home. The estate boasted its own brick factory, woodworking shop, and a three-mile railway spur for transporting materials to the site.
A New World Château

The celebrated architect Richard Morris Hunt modeled the house on three châteaux built in 16th-century France. It would feature 4 acres of floor space, 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and 65 fireplaces. The basement alone would house a swimming pool, gymnasium and changing rooms, bowling alley, servants' quarters, kitchens, and more.
An Environmental Wonder

The grounds of the 125,000-acre estate were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the creator of New York's Central Park and the father of American landscape architecture. He not only developed acres of gardens and parkland, but in his efforts to protect the environment and reclaim over-farmed land, Olmsted established America's first managed forest.
A True Family Home

George Vanderbilt officially opened the home to friends and family on Christmas Eve in 1895. He had created a country retreat where he could pursue his passion for art, literature, and horticulture. After marrying the American Edith Stuyvesant Dresser (1873–1958) in Paris during the summer of 1898, George and his new bride came to live at the estate. Their only child, Cornelia (1900–1976), was born and grew up at Biltmore.

We are planning to bring Molly and Rebel over for the weekend. This sounds like a great event and a chance to win som grocery money is a bonus !!

Crank up the UV rig Milt...I think Pepper is headed over too.

We are going over and get Rebel some UV practice tomorrow. He attempted 7' the last time we were over there (he missed by 5' but hey it's the effort right??).

Shows that the Ingles people put in. You don't have to jump your dogs but the crowds are huge and they would like some more shows added!

Nash grabbed 6'2" today in UV. I'm really proud of my little guy!

Nash grabbed 6'6" today in UV. He loves to jump so much. Pepper grabbed 6'10" today in UV and justed missed in his try for 7'1". Molly(Marty) jumped 21'3 today to lead in distance jumping! Lots of new dogs trying for 1st time jumping great!
