Thanks! I didn't understand PB but then I saw your sig! Yea pretty good considering the last time she did this was a year ago lol. Makes me wonder what she would do if we could practice and improve her skill. She doesn't really jump up...she just flies like superdog over the water lol. I'd like to put a little cape on her .
Re: Cold Tail Prophylaxis results...
I think she is just one of those naturally talented dogs that is good at just about everything she tries, including being adorable!
I sent you a PM, too.
Re: Cold Tail Prophylaxis results...
After meeting Andrea and Jubilee this weekend I agree!!
She's a good dog and was doing Flyball, Jumping and I thought I saw her running the Lure course
Molly has had "Dead" tail before, but hasn't has that happen for a while. Keep us posted on what you find out from UF. As much as Mollly jumps, her tail always bounces back in a few days. Maybe overall exertion plays a role also??

Aww thanks! She did run the lure on saturday and sunday...sunday she was pretty pooped but on Saturday she clocked a fastest time of 21.5 mph and overall 16 something.
I have heard exertion can cause this but she overly exerts herself over a two day flyball tourney and we haven't encountered a problem yet. I am happy to announce that her tail is 90% this evening. That has to be from the early NSAID.

It's kind of a strange thing, and sad to see a lab that can't wag it's tail.

Yea it is like her little happiness barometer is broken ...she is already 100% so I really think the early NSAIDS helped in some way.
Re: Cold Tail Prophylaxis results...
Sky had this problem last year at the Grand Rapids Show which was her first. Problem persisted for a few days but the NSAIDS helped greatly. Problem was for her she jumped, jumped, and jumped, but the poor baby would not wag her tail at all. Thankfully she healed up quickly. My concern for this year as well is that they may have stuck back in the same cold area as the show did last year. My thoughts are that in combination with multiple jumps and cold weather in pens, sitting on cold ground, may be a factor. Our plan for this year is not to stay at the show if we are in the back room again between events, or to bring a couple space heaters and lots of warm blankets.
Glad to hear that she is doing better and that the happiness meter is fixed again. Congratulations on the PB.

See our events down here are outside. Last year the weather was kind of bad, cold and rainy and I jumped her A LOT as I had no idea she might get it...this year we had BEAUTIFUL sunny warm (mid 70s) weather. She would dry of in a matter of minutes. I didn't crate her (although my hands wish I did;)) yet she still got it. I am still waiting to hear back from the neurologist at UF. My friend is on vacation right now so it will probably be a few more weeks before I hear anything but I am really curious what their opinion is because her future in the sport depends on what they say. I definately think her course was shortened overall due to giving her an NSAID before she even jumped. Normally it drags out through the week. I didn't even have to give her anything on Monday for pain. So that was VERY encouraging.
