Hot News Free Splashes at events

Scream!!! I'm just as concerned as everybody else about the rising cost of gas to get to events. We have always tried to keep the cost down for people wanting to jump their dogs. Starting in August we are going to give the first 10 humans that sign up their dogs a free splash to jump at our events for the rest of the year. This is on an event by event bases. One per family per event. I would like to let everyone jump for free but my costs have risen like everyone else's and equipment needs to be updated. I hope this will help in your decision to jump at more UAD events. If you know of someone that wants to jump their dogs and can't afford this sport please have them contact me at tiger3950@yahoo.com and I will try to help them out. Our mission at UAD is to have everyone that has dogs that can jump come out and learn dock jumping and have fun doing so. We have always been the least expensive organization to jump dogs at and we intend help people out that want to jump their dogs. MILT

Since this seems to be about encouraging new teams to participate as well as helping out the "regulars," I have a suggestion that may help if added to this idea. If it's too much trouble though, no worries. Sweet!

How about UAD offers the free jump to the first five regulars and the first five newbies? Since the regulars are usually the first to jump on newly opened registrations, I think splitting the numbers might help encourage new jumpers more. Otherwise, I can see this nifty discount possibly going to only regulars. Perhaps a "check box" could be added on the registration form asking "is this your first dock jumping event?" I believe Splash Dogs includes that question in their registration form.

Edit: Just checked and they do list it, written as "Have you ever participated in a dock jumping event?" Then you have the option of clicking/marking either "Yes" or "No."
