does any one know of a springer rescue in michigan my aunt is looking to get a companion since she is alone at the house now. and would really like a liver and white springer since thats what her last dog was

Your aunt can check at petfinder.com and type in the breed (in this case, obviously springer) and her zip code and she'll get a list of area shelters and some rescues (although I don't think all breed specific rescues are posted on petfinder - but a lot are) with springers currently available. This would be a place to start until you get a more specific answer...

Yes. Springerrescue.org You can click on available dogs and go to michigan and see what dogs are available at the time and read a bio abou them. There is a FAQ page that tells you about our org. and how the adoption process works. PM if you have any questions.

I sugested petfinder as well to her well my cousin who is doing all of the searching since my aunt dosent have a computer hes taking his lap top over to show her some of the dogs i found so hopfully they find one they can bring home. thanks agian every body for the info

Petfinder is a good resource. You just have to be careful and check out the person or org you adopt from. There are some shady people out there. springer rescue excluded, of course.
