I have a few questions ...

Is there a store in the Kalamazoo area that sells good discs? Indy loves his Kong disc and it sure is chew proof, but it's so heavy that it doesn't stay up long enough for him to catch it and it's so floppy that he has a hard time grabbing it. He's happy to retrieve off the ground, but it kind of defeats the point of throwing a disc, right? Sweet! A quick Google says that Hyperflite is the brand to look for, the Jawz model looks like a good bet, any other recommendations?

Go to hyperflite website and get the jaws Competition model they don't get punctures in them and they fly really well mine has lasted for months now just don't let your dog sit and chew on it order online or If you have a soldans petshop they will have them. Or go to www.hyperflite.com to find other retail locations near you. You will be impressed I use this for frisbee events and training perfectly safe for dog and there teeth

To get good ones I had to order mine, try www.herodiscusa.com
I have had mine a year or more and they are still in great shape. You know Oberon, if they can withstand his jaws they have to be good ones. Thier number is 1- 909- 991-7373. Ask them about "blems" they are alot cheaper, also ask them which model is the most durable, it may be the 235's.

Thanks. I totally missed the retail locator the first time around. Looks like Bark's in Kzoo has them. I knew I'd seen them somewhere!

That's good to know Roger. I'll see what they have at Bark's because I'm impatient and I want a good disc now Sweet! But if I end up ordering, I'll check out the Hero discs.

Just an FYI, they do carry the Hyperflite Jawz discs at Bark's 5th Avenue in Kalamazoo.

Yup. I got one, I like it much better than the Kong, Indy likes it too. It might just be the novelty of a new toy but he's extra enthusiastic about it. Now I need to work on throwing the appropriate distance and getting him to keep his eyes on the disc. He tries to anticipate where it's going to go and that only works about 50% of the time Sweet!

Work the same as if you are on the dock with a sit stay starting with short throw and runs to longer. Go on you tube for some advice on throwing and grips. And throw back and forth with a person to get better faster
