Embarassed Two weekends ago Jubilee got her 10,000 point flyball title - Flyball Master Excellent! I am so proud of her. In just under two and a half years she has accomplished so much in this sport. It has been a great experience for us both and we love our team so much.

Barb: I know this is a very late reply, but no, the Flyball Master Excellent title isn't the highest you can achieve in Flyball. The Hobbes award is for 100,000 racing points. The titles after her achieved title (which is a great one!) are FMCH (Flyball Master Champion), Onyx (20,000 racing points), then the FGDCH (Flyball Dog Grand Champion Award) which is 30,000 points, then each 10,000 after that you add onto the FGDCH up to the Hobbes at 100,000 points. No one on the east coast has reached the Hobbes award; however, I am proud to say that our Team Captain currently holds the HIGHEST title achieved on the East Coast with her Australian Shepherd, Arrow at 80,000 racing points. He is 12 years old and still racing!

Wow! Golly Gee! Carolynn thank you for your reply. I had no idea. That Hobbes Award sounds darn near unreachable. Kudos to your Captain's dog Arrow with 80,000. That would be sweet if he hit 100,000 at 12 years old.

Question, Barb...does K9topcoat make a vest for keeping the dogs warm in the water? My Aussie gets awful cold dock diving in March. He doesn't have a lot of fat on him because of the other sports we do, and he doesn't have a water repellant coat, either...so he gets quite cold. I thought a vest might do him good. What are your thoughts?

Carolynn, K9 Top Coat no longer makes neoprene vests. That would probably be your best option. But, if you are looking for a full bodysuit you can look at these two products:

Thanks guys! Sorry I haven't been around much recently. Thanks Carolynn for filling in! Flyball Master Excellent is a 10,000 point title. Basically if your team gets under 24 seconds you get 25 points, 28-24 seconds you get 5 points and 32-28 seconds you get 1 point for each race. I am pretty happy with our progress since we have only been racing two and a half years and we started out on a team that wasn't very competitive. Unfortunately Hobbes won't be attainable for us as Jubilee is going on six years old. We are aiming to get an ONYX (20000) and maybe a grand champion (30000).
