I see that they were using hoops instead of painted contact zones for the approaches and exits from those abreviated dog walks. Were there any large breeds that had difficulty passing through without scrunching down a lot?

I think the hoops look plenty big for the large breeds, but they are still awefully strange. I'm thinking they may be for training purposes? Similar to the use of wickets? However, they don't have marked contacts either... so perhaps the dog must simply pass through them rather than hit a contact zone? Very odd. Other Enlgish agility events I've seen have the usual painted on contact zones. The middle/top plank also looks much shorter than the standard length.
