I was looking for campgrounds in Van Wert and found two. It was mentioned in an earlier thread about Pleasant Grove but I think that they have new owners and an new name.
Maybe we could get a group rate if there were enough that wanted to camp.

Not sure if this is the one some stayed in last year.

This campground is about 9 miles away from Van Wert, and a few dollars more expensive per night.

Ron & I stayed at Timberwoods last year along w/Beth and Ryder. We tent camp and you pick your spot in an open field or pick your spot in alittle area of shade. Kinda of goofy-but we had a great time and I thought it was quiet. Now if you camp with a trailer, there are assigned campsites. We are going back there this year, Van Wert alot of fun. Huggy bear looks it is for rv camping.

We will be camping in a trailer, so we will need a spot. Maybe those who are camping in trailers could be near the tenting area also. I am going to call about group rates at Timberwoods, or at least maybe a discount.

I spoke to Timber Woods Campground and they usually fill for Labor Day weekend. This campground is 2 miles or a little less from the fairgrounds.

If we get enough campers and identify ourselves when making the reservation that you are with UAD they will try to keep us together and give us a little discount.

Because they fill the campgrounds if you will be camping and in need of Water and Electric they advised that we should make our reservations ASAP.

If you are tent campers and do not need water and electric making your reservations right now is not as important.

Van Wert was a fun event. We'll be there Jump, jump, jump! I don't have a tent and even if I did I'd be afraid that the girls would bust through it badmood LOL!

Pssst, Ron, Meadow went swimming today and did the chase. I don't throw very well, but she had a couple of HUGE jumps. Burr! I fell in the water today off of the dock. That might have been even funnier than your bug thing!

After hearing how much fun VanWert is, we have decided to make the trip. We will be camping, but I'm not sure what dates to use for reserving a campsite. Are the event dates listed (8/27 - 9/3) for the fair? What dates are the actual splashes and finals?
