What days will we be jumping?? UKC??

This is the information that is posted on the web-site:
Van Wert County Fair Aug. 27- Sept. 3 Van Wert, OH.

So, we will be jumping August 27 through September 3, 2008.

The exact schedule will be posted One Month Before the event, just like always. (Everyone, please watch know that you can count on every event to be posted One Month Before hand.)

There will be a column added to the EVENT SCHEDULE on the web-site, noting which events are UKC, when that is determined.

We do not have that information, yet.

I do not know when I will have that information, as I'm not the person making the decision.

PIIIIIIGGGGGGG ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAST!

We have never joined in an event. I watched Chicagoland in March and loved it. We have a swimming pool and 2 of my dogs LOVE jumping. I have always wanted to try out jumping with them but haven't really known what or where or how to start. I would like to come to Van Wert as we live in Ohio and just try the dogs out. This this the right way to go about starting or can someone give me a shove in the right direction. Thanks very much. Lora

WOW cool - so we will be jumping for a whole week!!!
Last year it was just the weekend.
I am adding nights to our hotel reservations

What hotel are you at?

I was going to ask the same thing.. I would like to stay for a couple of days.

I forget which hotel I'm at!! I know that there are two - The Van Wert Inn and The Guestkeeper. One of them gave some UAD members a hard time about things last year - I'm not at that one I know that much

Some people had a problem at the guestkeeper, but we didn't, and are staying there again.
they are really picky about dogs and charge i think $10.00 per, so you have to declare EVERY dog you have staying there, but they have a big green space out back to air the dogs.

The fairs in TN are like that and they are demo jumps during the week and set up like regular splashes on frid-sun.not sure if this event will be the same but it might be similiar

Steph, let me know where your staying! I'm not 100% sure I'm going, but I would like to make reservations just in case. Ten and Brooks need to spend some quality pup time together!

I'm at the Van Wert Inn. You should come - it is SO much fun and Brooks would love to have some quality pup time with Ten!!!

I would NOT recommend the Guest Keeper. They gave several of the UAD teams (Sara and Scott, Brian, Bob, and a couple others) a very hard time last year... even going as far as to scream and yell at them, along with ILLEGALLY denying a certified Assistance Dog access to their facility. Local law enforcement officers were involved (after the owner called them himself, only to find HE actually WAS the one in the wrong) and the owner got into some trouble over this. ADI was also involved after the event was reported.

Thanks for the schedule and all of the hotel info!! After talking to others this past weekend about how much fun they had last year, I think we're planning a road trip!!!

I want to make sure that anyone who read that schedule that Amber posted notices that there is a slight schedule modification. All of the times are exactly the same. We are just switching up the order of activities on Monday, Labor Day, so that the Divisional Finals are the last thing for the day.

It's good that I found this, since I don't have time to keep up with the Forum these days. (Sorry about that, by the way, but life happens... and I don't want to miss it. It is peak gardening season; you know?) I was looking for some information from Milt that he told me about this morning and just happened upon this thread.

Divisional finals after UV... that's different.

Last year, if you were bringing in dogs and crates, they didn't charge an entry fee. We just said we were dock jumping and they let us in free.

might be different this year???
