Purina IDC qualifiers 2009

The East Coast Purina Qualifier will be Aug. 7-8 at the Indiana State Fair. We will be sending 6-7 dogs to this event. There will be one spot available to qualify on the 7th to compete on the 8th for the TV show. Qualifing dogs must have shown the ability in 2009 to jump 23 feet in one of our Ultimate Air Dog events. Invatations will be going out to qualified dogs in May of 2009. If any one is interested in going to Southern California to compete for a Western Qualifing spot contact me as soon as possible their event is in San Diego is June 12-13! Splashdogs will be helping in securing West Coast Dogs. Dogs must be able to jump at least 23 feet in regular competitions, all dogs are eligible no matter what organization you jump in. If the dog hasn't jumped with UAD or Splashdogs they must show that they have competed in either organization to be considered. Dockdogs teams will be considered if they have competed in one of our(UAD or Splashdogs) recognized events!!

Will all dogs that have jumped 23' or higher be given an invitation or how will they break this down? How will the 6-7 be determined from there? Will certain UAD events be qualifiers?

Do you have any idea when the rest of the schedule will be available, or is the schedule posted the final one until May? Hot Dawg

I only ask because usually the majority of the east coast events are early on in the season, and some dogs will need some time to get back into the swing of things.
Also, is it safe to assume, by 2009, you mean the 2009 season, as in events after the UA Games? running dog

Purina wants the top jumping dogs to come to their 2009 qualifiers. They have sent me a list to follow when inviting dogs to their events. All dogs that have proved in 2009 that they consistantly jump over 23 feet at UAD or Splashdogs events will be considered. We will only have a couple of designated events as direct qualifiers for these regional qualifiers. The rest of the teams will be invited by UAD staff after considering many qualities of teams considered. If you have any questions considering this please contact me directly. mILT
