I am working on pulling a female GSP from Ionia shelter this week or begining of next. She is HW positive but is a very very nice little female. This puts us at 2 GSP's who will need HW treatment this spring. Thus looking at about $1000 to treat them. Needless to say the rescue doesn't have a huge budget for rescue. So if anyone has anything they would like to donate for us to put up on ebay or anything along those lines let me know. I will be making an ebay account for us to try and get some funds coming in for these girls!

Here is a pretty yucky picture of Rossie as well.... She also is in need of a nice foster home until she is done with her treatment. Thanks!

We have decided to call Rossie, Roxi now. Rossie just didn't fit her. Poor girl is very under weight but is now being fed 3 good meals a day. She is just beautiful and a wonderful dog. Very calm in the house and get along with all our kids and our cat! I will get some new pics of her up soon. She is just such a joy to be around. She will be going in for her Heartworm Treatment on Monday March 3rd. So she will be staying with us at least another 6-8 weeks to recover! Thankfully her treatment cost isn't going to be as much as we had expected. I have to give a huge thanks to our vet for their help with our rescue dogs. We couldn't do it with out you! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

Here are some new pics of Roxi. Still don't do her justice but they are better than the others. She is doing well. Has a cold that we are getting through before HW treatment. Treatment will start probably the First week of April.

Maybe post the name of your vet. I know a lot of the hunting people I know look for hunter friendly vets and we all love those short tailed dogs. Thanks a million to the vet and you. I bet she will make someone a great dog someday. Rescues are usually so thankful to find their forever home

Great guy and good staff! They even let me go in for surgery if I want on our animals and the rescues. It is so great!

I bet she looks like she is right at home by the laundry basket...I have one that raids it for all my socks...dirty first then he goes on the hunt for the clean ones.

Roxi went in for her treatment today. The x-rays showed her heart to be a bit more enlarged than originaly thought. So we may have a longer road of recovery than planned. I miss not having her here and the other dogs really are wondering where she is at as well! The vet said this afternoon she was doing good at this point and really they couldn't even tell that she had had treatment. So that is good. One more dose tomorrow then I get to pick her up on Wednesday!

Thanks Alisa! One other good note for Roxi. She was 45 lbs when we picked her up and every bone could be seen in her body. She weighed in today at 51 lbs.! Not too bad for 3 weeks with us. She could use probably another 3-5 lbs to make her the ideal weight but she will get there!

He did send me his adoption app. The thing with Roxi is we can't get her fixed until she has her negative HW test reading in another 4 months and I won't adopt out unless they are fixed! We will see what happens!

Roxi is doing soooo well. I guess I should start looking for her forever home. I wish it could be with me but the other half won't let me keep her at this point! Jeesh.....I am going to be overly picky about her home though as she has grown on me so much over the last few months from going through her treatment and all! So anyone from the UAD family looking for a great female GSP let me know! Ultimate Air Elation
