Shiloh Shepherd? Empty Shiloh Shepherd?

I saw a rather big shepherd type dog at the dog park but it had a lion cut on it. It looked like it could have been a lion lol...My thought was its a good thing there are no rohdesians here...Just wondering if you think it might have been a Shiloh Shepherd

I don't think it is "normal" for a Shiloh to have a cut like that (at least I have never seen any with a cut like that at the shows they have been at).....may be the owners do/did that to help keep it cooler??

It *could* have been a Shiloh... or a King Shepherd... or a wide slew of other breeds with similar appearances. Heck, it could have just been an oversize, long coated GSD. There are plenty of "breeders" who breed for that "type."

Thanks Kel I will see or ask them next time I see them there. Just didnt know if there was one that had a common cut like that.

Nope, none of those breeds are supposed to have any sort of clipping done. It's against breed standard. My guess is it was just done to cut down on grooming the owner has to do. *Shrugs.*
