Dinner after show this weekend?

I know quite a few of us are heading to Whitmore Lake to have fun at the show this weekend with UKC. I have talked to each of you individualy but wanted to start and official sign up sheet so we can have an idea of how many people we may have.

So is anyone up for doing dinner after the show in the Ann Arbor area? We are good as long as the show doesn't go til like 8 at night or anything. Having a 2 year old son with ya kinda limits that kind of stuff.

Okay do we all want to crate together? this looks like it is going to be really packed and I want to try and find a somewhat quiet place for Marta to crate. I will try and get there friday night if Tom opens it then if not early saturday morning. Let me know who all wants crate space saved

This is for the Whitmore Lake Conformation shows not Novi UAD. Just didnt want you comming up this weekend for a show that isnt until next weekend.

oh ok sorry although lance and i have finished our championship in conformation I am glad we are done with that. I wasnt sure since i dont know the area to well. hope you guys do well at your show. hope to see you in novi

FYI I will do my best to reserve crating space because of the size of the entries I talked to Tom Griffith he said they arent allowing people to block off areas. I am going to look for a quiet area near the gun dog ring but it sounds like all bets are off unless everyone is there at 6am when the building opens.

We will be there around seven!

Looks I will be driving over with the kids in the morning. Since the weather is looking pretty bad. They have upgraded us to a Winter strorm warning. Could be a long slow drive. So i guess that means I will be there for dinner as well.

Well I think every one had a long fun day. We all got a lot of expierence. Marta did great bo not so good lol but hey he is entitled to a bad day hear and there. Brian did good for his first time in the ring. Sara did very good and took the time to learn a few things and showed even better at the end. Good to see every one there

That's good to hear. So, did anyone end up with any placements or points?

Also, anyone know how the GSD ring ended up placing? Apparently there were several going to this show.

Kel Brian got points in show 1 for winning his class. Show 2 they withheld first and gave sku a second. I believe Beth got points as well in both shows but I dont remember how many on which dogs. Bo melted down in the group ring it was huge with 13-14 in a ring that only should have had 6. We were crammed in there and he kept sitting down. He just wasnt showing good. Marta and Oscar were in NL classes. I didnt see that many shepheards there but they were all in a different building/room so I couldnt tell you how they did. I think there were a lot of AKC people there prepping for DKC next weekend.

There were a lot of shepards there Kel. I know for sure of 2 that also passed their CGC. I think one may have been the gal who always has her GSD pin on her shirt at shows with her dogs picture on it? I don't remember her name. Saying Annie was in the APBT ring we were able to see many of the other breeds who were there. I know I saw at least 5-6 GSD there.

Phoenix got some points but she was the only GSP there. So I have yet to figure out how many points. She was in the Licensed Puppy class.

Annie didn't get any points or Top Ten points as she is already a Grand and as you know they only place one Grand. But she hasn't been in the ring for almost a year now so we got some GREAT comments from the judges on her. Pretty much boils down to keep getting her weight back to where it needs to be and they are going to keep an eye out for her. There were a total of I think 17 APBT that were at the show.

No group placements here either. But Phoenix did do well in the ring. Better the second show than the first.

Congrats to everyone. Sounds like everyone had fun. That's a pretty big APBT turnout! I know Tom said it was going to be big, but I didn't realize there were that many. There are a ton down here in VA, though... and they're all very nice dogs. Judging them has got to be tough.

Poor Bo... that's tough when you get all smooshed together. Hopefully next time there will be some bigger rings for him so everyone can spread out.

The GSD lady with the armband pin with her dog on it had to have been Anna with Chaos (coated GSD). Chaos is Baako's conformation buddy. Lol. I don't think she was showing him this weekend, though... I know she was showing her new puppy, Caliber, though.
