hemi got wet today

Today was hemi and gingers first trip out to the pond.as soon as hemi seen the water she was in it. and she is a much better car rider than ginger even though ginger does ok in the car .Best of all i threw a bummper off the dock and hemi went right off.....Well not a real jump more like she was runing and ran off the dock funny to watch .she ran off it about 10 times never hesitated but never really jumped. she likes to swim in circles too.


After there swim I decided to take them into the field they were both very excited for a good game of catch.Ginger on the other hand not excited to share her bumpers I havfe one kid with food aggresion and the other with bumper issues hehe. As long as i threw both ginger was fine only cause there to big for her to pick both of them up.Ginger will have to learn to share And hemi will have to learn that "big orange bummper" is ginger even though after the 3rd time tehy reached it at the same time i think she figurd it out .


All and all they had fun ,got wet, and ran around with there toungus out A good day in a labs eye... by the next chantilly maybe i will be entering two dogs one giant leaper and one giant plopper

Nothing wrong with belly plops, they're just as fun!

A giant plopper is good for about 5-6 ft easy. It's a start and if Hemi is with you while you are working with Ginger there is a good chance she will pick up what Ginger is doing. It may be a case of "I want to do that too". You have a good start since she doesn't hesitate at all on the dock. It's better than my Newman. He would just stand there and bark at the bumper while looking back at you to see if you will get it for him.

That's great Bob! Glad to hear you have another jumper in the family! Hopefully we'll see Hemi jumping with her sister at an event soon.

it was pretty fun to watch almost cartoonish .runing down teh dock then no more dock and she is stil runniing for like a half second then plop .She definatly enjoyed it so thats what counts

Perhaps a "water displacement" record setter in the works?!?

Sounds like they had a good time, minus the sharing issues, but they'll work that out too in time...

That's how it worked in our family. Pooh Bear taught Colba-saurus Rex everything he knows. Now Colby usually (I have to be careful now, because suddenly Pooh has rose to the occasion ) out jumps Parker.

We were hoping Newman would learn from Rocky but so far all he does is chase Rocky down the dock and bark at him in the water. He will go in the water from shore and then swim out to Rocky but WILL NOT JUMP IN.
