Current UAD Records (For Fun & Unofficial)...

Sooo... just for fun, I figured we could all contribute and figure out
the current standings and records for the UAD sports. I know UKC will
be keeping track of breed records and such for their sanctioned
jumps... but there are quite a few records out there yet that have been
set before UKC and UAD partnered up. Plus, you all know how I love
keeping track of numbers and such.

I have to ask Sarah for sure but Gumpy's short dock is a 17'9 and long dock is 20' 3"

his UV was not in compition and I think Milt had is set at 4'8"

I am just guessing here. Milt and Sarah know the actual numbers

Removed the UV JRT score (although I'm sure he'll have an actual competition jump on record soon enough!) and put in the 20'3" score for distance. Let me know for sure if that's right, and I'll change it if need be!

FYI the blind dog was Casey. I wonder how that dog is doing? I am pretty sure it never jumped out of novice, but what an amazing dog.

Kel back at the first UA Novi event (we were still affiliated with DD) when Larry Neau was judging (Milt had other obligations) He marked Maxine with a jump of 24'10". Ok so it was 4'10" for the jump + 20 for being a Golden Retriever. Doesn't that count for anything?

Digger isn't the APBT UAD record holder for jumping... YET. He's still got a few inches to go to catch Rajah. Digger has the bigger SHORT dock jump over rajah, but long dock outdoors, rajah has 22'4" and indoors he just got 22'6".

Ann, that's pretty funny! It sure would have been cool had Max jumped over 24'!

I wonder how Casey is doing also... she was always such a sweetie. It'd be nice to see her again sometime.

Yeah he did the 21'9 in Splash 3 at the Edison Pet Expo. He had a bigger jump of 22'0, but it was during Catch-It so it doesn't count for Big Air. Thanks for trying to put all the stats together Kel

Jeff it did not say anything about the outdoor dock. so you are safe...for now!! It talked about outdoor pond event. You guys did not come to that event. I have high hopes for digger but Rajah has grace and huge air, we have alot of work to beat that boy.

Is there a different record for the american stafordshire terrier?

I'm not sure about the Staffie record... We had a couple jump at some events last year, I believe. I think Kaboom may have it... not sure.

If you are referring to Dude that was at the UAG, he was a GSP, not a GWP. There was a GWP there jumping in the Senior division, but I don't remember her name....

I would imagine Clem has a 22-23 foot record for UAD and probably all organizations for ACD's---she's one of the most amazing dogs I have ever seen!

Since it is a catagory.. What is the feather weight record.. It think it is really close between Gumpy and Sputnik

I think the GWP at UAG was Greta. I have a great picture of her in the handlers arms.

I totally agree on Clem. She is awesome. I got to meet her at the Franklin, TN event last summer along with little Wee-La. Great dogs and of course Nadja is great too.

There were some big jumping feather weights at that event but I am not sure of the scores. I don't think they jumped nearly as far as Gumpy though. They were Rat Terriers that perform with Ringling Brothers.

Milt and I talked about the Featherweight title awhile back... I'll have to recheck, but I believe Gumpy has it. I'll add that to the list.

I'll also change the GWP rank... I was so sure Dude was a GWP... guess I wasn't paying close enough attention! I think you're right, Matt, I believe that the dog's name was Greta.

Gumpy is awesome, but double check the scores from the L'Oreal NJ event last year. Spudnik was FLYIN' at that event... and possibly Dutchess. Not sure who went furthest, but they are both WAY COOL little guys on the dock!

Are these overall records or just for this year?? How far are you going back on these records?

While your updating the Featherweight Division... you can post Rock in the Veteran Category. There was an official sanctioned UKC Vet Category Competiton at GR. Besides, I am quite sure he has it prior to GR anyway.

This is a lot of Fun, Kel!

FYI everyone, Scott Wayland, the official UAD Scorekeeper, and I have been working on the actual UAD records and stats, doing them from all of these various aspects, ie.... breed, Vet & Featherweight, UV, etc... Scott built us an awesome program which he will utilize to tabulate the correct records. I've been converting the breeds to abbreviations, in our database. It is a work in progress.

Scott and I haven't discussed how far back to go. But I'd imagine because of the sheer size of our database, we will begin with the 2008 records.

Anyway, this is cool, but please everyone remember that it is just for fun!

Yup, what MaraLee said. Still, of course, trying to make sure things are accurate. Of course, keep in mind that this is not an "official UAD records list." It's just my "for fun, accurate and all-inclusive as we can make it, list."

As far as how far back the ones in this thread go... I'd say lets take things back as far as we can, if possible (which, technically, would be since the first UAD jump ever - Farmer Jack parking lot several years back). There are plenty I already listed anyway that are prior to 2008, at least.

Speaking of that first jump... talk about progress in the sport! I think the top jump was maybe in the teens? Does that sound right, MaraLee? I also remember the Richardsons and Wilcoxs all huddled together under one, little EZ-up... doing registration. The only other EZ-up present was my own, that Pat and I shared... and Brian made such a huge deal out of it, saying, "I can't believe you guys are new to this sport and brought such an elaborate setup!" I thought that was pretty funny.

Nowadays, though, having EZ-ups everywhere is the norm!

I just looked through Sputnik's scores for LOreal, Duchess, and Rock Classic... all were mid-junior through high-senior jumps. So, provided the 20'3" is correct for Gumpy's best UAD jump, he holds the Featherweight title.
