Hi Everyone,

Milt asked me to let everyone know that from now on, Finals will not count towards UKC titles. Competitors will no longer have the option to pay to have the Finals scores turned in.

Thank you for the announcement MaraLee. Could I ask for further elaboration as to why?

I heard through the grapevine that it was due to not everyone making finals so it isn't fare saying the dogs who did make finals would get extra points during the weekend. I didn't know if this was the case.

I will respect whatever the reasoning is behind it but just want to bring to light that if that is the reasoning behind it dogs who make finals in dock jumping and getting the extra possibility of points is no different that the dogs in weight pull who get extra points for placing higher in their class or for getting most weight pulled etc. Or in the conformation ring if a dog didn't have breed competition they can still get wins for placing in group.

I am sorry if I am overstepping my bounds but when we are working really hard toward some of those UKC titles it is just nice to know all the information. Thanks!
