Must Reads! Storm damage in Fruitport

Post by Rajah Tue Aug 11, 2009 3:17 pm

I know Milt always picks on Beth and I for living in "Fruitport", but as many of you know, there was some crazy storms that swept thru Michigan this past weekend (Sunday). Fruitport was hit the hardest as well as some nearby surrounding areas. Winds of 70mph took our tons of trees, shut down the entire village of Fruitport (we live a couple miles away from the actual village of Fruitport), and everyone as far as I know, is still without power in town. Check out some of these articles/pictures to see the damage:

We had 2 large trees come down right next to our house but no structural damage, just lots of fire wood. We were actually in Detroit watching the Tiger game when it all happened. I'm quite glad we weren't home when it happened.
