Is Novi where the Coffee Dogs had an issue with ants at a Red Roof a couple years ago? Maybe that was Traverse City. Heck I don't know.

I am not sure if we are going yet or not. Indoor events seem to be a waste for us but we are probably going to Columbus just because it may be the closest (4 hours) for a while.

I would suggest Red Roof - hey anyone notice I am partial??

If it was a couple of years ago it is probable the hotel has been renovated since call and check

Yes, it was the CoffeeDogs who had a problem with the Red Roof near Novi. It was 2 years ago in January, and it was not a pleasant experience. I called last year to make reservations, and the woman that answered the phone recognized my name, and was asking me why I called corporate. Needless to say, I didn't stay there last year.

I found some suites right in Novi, about 1 mile from the venue that were reasonably priced. Matt, you and I were at the same hotel. It was very reasonable when I shared the room with someone else.

I am planning on coming to that event, so I imagine I will stay at one of hotels with suites again.

I thought that was where it was. I think it was a Marriott Towne Suites or something like that. They were really nice but I think it was a $75 pet fee and pricey for one. The only reason I stayed there that time was because I had Marriott points and only had to pay the pet fee. I am not that lucky this year. Of course, I still haven't decided if we are going to Novi or not.
