Exactly, Kel. However, before Parker got sick, I was working on very short runs on the dock and had Parkie catching a few. Who'd have thought that possible?!?!?!

Yeah, I tend to think it is one of things where if I can throw it RIGHT in front of his face (which I can only do every blue moon ), he has no choice but to catch it . The ophtho doc says he can probably see what is literally RIGHT in front of him, or what is way out there. Not a lot in between. So, if Parker can jump again, it will always be the trusty place & send for him!
Parker update.
Do you have any updates on Parker, we have been thinking about him and you guys alot.

Re: Poll - Virginia Outdoor
Parker started with a neurological problem a few days after the NJ L'Oreal event. He had no trauma, no pain, no injury that we could see. At first it was only evident when he was running, so we really didn't see it's full effect until the Roanoke event.
We immediately pulled him from the competition. On Monday, after the event, I did full body xrays, and a battery of test (everything under the sun, basically), and it is all normal. He was stable, but slightly worse that Monday. I made an appointment for September 8th for the neurologist, with the understanding that if he got worse, he'd go in earlier.
Well, he did. Wednesday night of this week, we began noticing that even as he walked, we could see uncoordination in his hind legs, more the right than the left. All else was normal, and he is unaware and not painful. So... in thru the emergency service we went on Thursday. No real definitive answers, but the 2 most likely possibilities are a disc problem or a tumor. He is going in on Thursday the 11th for an MRI of his spine +/- his brain (unless he gets worse, then back in on an emergency basis).
We haven't really said much, mainly because I am not dealing with it all that well. It's like all the doctor stuff left my brain and I'm just one blubbering, worried Mommy. Scott & I appreciate everyone's concern. It's just really hard to talk about right now. Parker is the reason we got into this sport (thought Colby could just tag along for fun), and to see him like this is killing me. He is so full of love and sweetness, and I don't know what I will do if it really is something bad.
Anyway, we are trying to stay positive (it isn't easy, as most of you know, we have had a lot of hard times lately), but Parker deserves the positivity. He is getting lots of snuggles and TLC. We should know more next week.
Thank you to everyone.

Re: Poll - Virginia Outdoor
We will definitely keep you in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult journey. Having recently lost one of our four legged friends we feel your pain and know how it hurts to watch them struggle. Parker is a strong boy so we will pray for the best for all of you. SKy also send lots of yellow lab love and of course those wet sloppy but loving lab kisses. We will ask her not to baptize you from her water bowl though.
