I wanted to let everyone here know that Truffles, our Chow/Husky pasted away Sunday night. Oh so Sad Oh so Sad
I got a call at work, I work 3rd, And my wife is crying and tells me Truffles died. I leave work early and when I get to talk to my wife she told me what happened. She said that Truffles was in bed with her and woke my wife up with a very loud sound. She put her arms around the dog and Truffles took a deep breath and died in her arms. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad We are going to have Truffles cremated and bury her with my wife's mom. She loved Truffles and said she was her grandchild.
Truffles was about 13 years old and was not in good shape. Having trouble seeing,hearing, and forgeting a lot of things, also she had some fatty tumers.
I told my wife that Truffles has had a very good life with us.

So very sorry on the loss of your dog Truffles.Shari had lost her very first dog she had purchased after leaving home and I know what she went through. I have lost many as being in dogs for quite some time,but the hardest one was my wonderful boy Amer Staff Terrier AKC CH. and UKC GR.CH.Rebel. CGC. It has been a year and a half and I still miss him every day. He was 14 years old. I still have his daughter who will be 14 in Aug. They say time heals.My thoughts are with you. Gloria. (Shari's Mom)

Fred, I'm so sorry to hear about Truffles. On the good side of things though, I'm sure she lived a long, full life and knew she was well loved. Consider it a blessing that she was able to pass on in your wife's arms... I'm sure that was a comfort to her, knowing she was with someone who loved her in her final moments here.

I'm sorry about the sudden loss of Truffles.

Your preparations for Truffles sound both touching and beautiful.

Many of us on here have loss one or more of our sweet little dogs. This is a sadness which we all inevitably face. But in the end, the love they gave us while sharing our lives far exceeds the sorrow which we must endure when they pass. Loving them is worth the pain.

Please, know that you are not alone.
