Destin questions

Hey guys...
I've got questions for the Destin event that I hope to attend.
Where do most people stay? I went to the Sandestin resort website and it says it does not allow dogs?
Is this true?
Can you work out of your car?
Or do you need to shlep all of your crates to the area and work from there? 
Is there an area already set up for dogs? Or do you need to bring a tent and shade and the such? I have to tell you...after going to the Bele Chere event...bringing stuff to events seems like a drag! LOL!
Is this going to be an event that you can sign more then two dogs up for or is there the two dog limit?
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Bristol and then in Destin!

The event has rooms to rent at resort. I'll get that posted soon. You will be able to get crates close to venue area. More to follow.

A crate cart is helpful in Destin as you need to carry stuff from the parking lot to the set up area. The kennel area that is under cover is under the bandshell and we can usually leave our stuff there if we just take the crates down and store them behind the bandshell.
Milt do you think we could set up tents somewhere to make more room and keep from having a lot of barking dogs all in one small area?
Residence Inn is dog friendly and really nice, but has a $100.00 non-refundable pet fee. Milt did get some deals last year that had no pet fee so that is something to look for.
I think I am going to try the Days Inn this year as it only has a $20.00 pet fee.

There's a new LaQuinta in Ft. Walton (just to the east of Destin), although, right now their rates are pretty high for a LQ. Maybe after Labor Day the rates will drop. At least LQs don't charge a pet fee. Might keep an eye on them and see what happens with the nightly rate.

This is a 5 Star Resort....
The rate for the Mariott will be $109 per night. The non refundable pet fee is $75 for 1-2 nights and $100 for 3 nights. When making reservations just call and request the Airdog group rate.

I fixed the font for ya'all. (I love doing little things like that... it makes me feel needed. 
Kind of like being able to tell my husband exactly where he set his keys, glasses, wallet, cellphone, etc.... it's job security! Shoot, Bill wouldn't be able to find the ketchup ever again without me to tell him it's hiding behind the Milk.

This is where we usually stay. I've stayed here 3 times over the past year & half. It maybe 5 miles to the west of Baytowne.

I hate having to miss it this time!!!! Dexie says if I water proof her cast she can still jump!! She may need a life jacket and tow to get back to dock You all have fun and we will see you in Feb.

I will be there afterall!! Chris, with the Canine Ranch, is going with her dogs and she just happens to have to come through Columbus anyway so I am going to "hitch" down with her and just hang out and cheer everyone on.
