August on Rails is located at the Windber Stadium off of Rte 56 located in Windber, PA. Took me around 5 hrs to get to Michigan in Feb. The one in July & October is out in Eastern PA, for me it's about 3 hrs from my house.
The record for UKC on rails is 10,560 lbs.

July in Port Clinton, PA:
Dutch Motel 1-866-488-1479 (I-78 Exit 23) http://www.dutchmotel.com
The Dutch is a no name place, but last year I stayed there and was clean. Though beware of the flat wafer thing the Indian woman had me try on Sunday.
Microtel 1-800-771-7171 (I-78 Exit 29) http://www.microtelinn.com
Directly next to Cabelas. A little on the pricier side, but very clean and new.
August in Windber, PA:
Super 8 Johnstown (814) 535-5600 I have a block of 10 rooms there under the club name. The rate is $64.95 + $7 Pet Room Fee.
Richland Inn (814) 269-3366 Room rate is around $40. It's an old rundown place. The rooms that I saw did appear to be clean. It's mainly where contractors stay when their in town doing work.
There is also Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express that all allow dogs as well.
September in Punxsutawney, PA:
Country Villa Motel (814) 938-8330 http://www.countryvillamotel.com Room rates start at $42 a night. I have stayed there in the past. I would recommend to book early since this one does go fast. You get to park right at your room door for most of the rooms.
Pantall Hotel 1-800-872-6825 http://www.pantallhotel.com/ You have to walk through the main lobby and up stairs to get to the rooms.
Gold Eagle Inn (814) 849-7344 http://www.goldeagleinn.com/ This one is about 20 minutes away from the show site.
Camping is available at the Saddle Club in Punxsutawney. No hookups are available though. A few of us will be tent camping for the weekend. More the merrier!

Re: Our Upcomming Pulls
Next weekend's pull (and the one in Oct-Nov, same location) in Port Clinton, PA will be on wheels, on the hard packed dirt of a baseball infield... provided the weather is good. If the weather is bad, ie wet/rainy, the chute will be under a cement floored pavilion with carpet laid down.
The September 3-5th pull in Punxsutawney, PA will be wheels on grass.
Just for those of you (like me) who have not done any "natural surface" (besides snow) pulls before... so you know what to expect.
My only other question is will the chute be covered (with EZ-ups or a long tent or whatever) for next weekend's pull on the baseball field dirt? I know by experience that those fields can get pretty hot under the sun, and I have nearly all black northern-born dogs who don't do so well in the heat. If it is not covered, would it be okay to set up an EZ-up (my own, not saying I expect the club to do so) near the holding area for my dogs (or others, I'm fine with sharing as long as the other dogs are friendly) to wait under? Obviously, I don't plan on crating them so near the chute/holding area, I would bring a separate EZ-up for that).
As of now, the online weather I checked says isolated T-storms Saturday with a high of 83, and mostly sunny with a high of 82 on Sunday.
Re: Our Upcomming Pulls
For the Windber, PA Rail Pull will be under a tented area till the weight gets too high. The holding area will be under a pavillion.
