I would say yes. You want to wait until they have developed more. On the same note, I have had Leo pulling light weight a couple times but he is not in training yet. He pulled the neighbor kid on his sled with lots of help from me and he pulled the cart at the Macomb event with lots of help from pizza. 7 months would be too young for any kind of "real" training though. We don't even want Leo to run more than normal puppy play because his joints are still developing and too much impact could cause damage down the road. Some light stuff would be fine but not very often.

VERY light weight stuff would be fine... along the lines of doing 5-10 lb drag weights. I wouldn't really recommend anything beyond that though. Just getting them used to the idea of pulling and the harness is a good idea at that age. I don't start any heavy duty pulling until they are a bare minimum of 1 yr of age, sometimes as old as 2 yrs depending on breed, size, build, individual growth rate, etc. I do light weight stuff (slight drag weight to light carting) with my GSDs until they are 2 yrs, for example. With some other breeds, though, you can start sooner because their joints and everything else will be done developing sooner.

Think of it sort of like UV in dock jumping... best to wait until they are at least 1 yr old.

Getting used to the idea and pulling a very light kid's sled (I'm thinking of the plastic sleds, not a heavy toboggan or the like) would probably not give you any issues. However, also keep in mind that many kid's sleds slide along VERY easily, so you will want a helper to walk behind the sled and make sure it doesn't continue to slide forward when your pup stops in order to avoid it sliding up and hitting her. Even though it's light, something a dog is pulling running up on them can really scare a new dog and make training way more difficult. So, if you do any pulling, I would recommend just a 3-5lb dumbbell or a small log to use as a drag weight.

Even if she's not pulling, it's an excellent time to work on MANNERS! What I mean is getting her to stand and wait for her "pull" command, teaching her that her only direction in harness is FORWARD, etc. If you never introduce her to it and then expect her to pull as soon as she's mature, you'll be waiting a while anyways because she won't understand what the heck you mean. Ultimate Air Elation It's so much easier to put a dog on the line and leave him then it is to be right there to keep him lined out/tight. You'll thank yourself in the end if she will stay put long enough to wait for commands as opposed to being spastic and unfamiliar with the routine.
