Training weekends Empty Training weekends

Post by jtallen Sat Jan 19, 2008 5:12 pm

Something to think about when the weather warms up, but it looks like
there are at least 7 UADers from Lansing to Grand Rapids. If we could
find a location somewhere in the middle - Portland , Ionia ?? that has
a dock we could use we could arrange some training dates and get
together for some jumping and socialization -
I bet Sara knows a good place to go for food and fun in the area Mad Dog .

I think that's a great idea. I'm sure there are lots of locals who can get together for training or just to chat. I added my location to my profile.

I'm willing to travel around for some training meets.

There are also a few places (six that come to mind) available on this side of the state if any of the SE folks would like to get together sometime (or if the Westerners wish to travel).

That sounds like a fun idea i definetly know of a couple places. and if any one was willing to make the trip my parents live by north lake in baldwin and were puting in a dock this summer, there are several hotels and campgrounds right there or im sure that mom and dad would open there yard up for some camping as well

Hey Heather,

I'd be happy to let you use my UV training pole whenever. I know you're at Pat's place a lot. So, if you ever wanted to meet up there for some practice, I'd be happy to do that. I need to start teaching Baako UV once the weather warms up anyway.

I am working on a location here in the Lansing area that has a dock to
see if we can use it to train. If we can set up several - East, west
and, middle, we can start a rotation training schedule so no one has to
drive all the way across the state everytime.

We practiced off a dock on the Grand River last season. But, when the water got low, no one moved the dock so it was not usable. That's probably why Midas's jumps were so much better at the beginning of the season than at the end. I also use a dock off Hart lake in Hart, but that's a trek and if it's too nice out there are boats all over the place.

There's an awesome awesome dog beach (or last I knew there was) on Lake Michigan in Muskegon that's super fun too. No dock Na Na but it's a gorgeous like mile long stretch of beach with dunes where they can just go crazy. Be fun for a dog party! E.T.

We have been to that beach in Muskegon many times!! It is great!! The four-legged kids LOVE it. It is about the only dog friendly beach on the big lake!
It would be a fun place for a dog party A Round of Applause!

It is very nice and very bussy in the summer! We can help plan a get together saying we live right here in Muskegon.
