Dock diving at Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13

We just confirmed (Thanks Milt) we will have 3 splashes at Flint Goes to the dogs. Look for it to open soon. it will be $10 for the first dog $5 for each additional dog. This will be a long dock event but Fun Jumps only. There will be time in between for introduction to Dock Diving. There will be a 5 dollar donation for this as well. All proceeds will go to the charity event. We will also have some prizes there to.

Just to let everyone know this is a family event and I am trying to keep prices down and still make money for the charity.

On site Parking is $3.00
water and pop will only be $1.00 (I believe)
We will have Pulled pork sandwiches roasted all night in a slow pig roaster cooked by yours truly, Hamburgers, hot dogs, polish dogs, chips ect. All at a reasonable cost. Feel free to bring what you want but there will be affordable food there. Plus if you get there early starting at 7am will be a pancake breakfast. Almost all the events will have some sort of prize for the winners. Including Dock Diving. All of you UAD regulars are welcome to come hang out the night before. I will be cooking a pig and we will have a camp fire. Please PM me if you want to attend the camp fire because we will also be having a trashcan dinner. It is neat if you have never done one. We use a metal trash can with meat potatoes onions ect Cooked over the fire while we drink refreshments. There will be a cost for this but again reasonable. I will know the price in a few days. Hope to see you guys/gals there.

If we make this event.. Can Sarah borrow a dog for JR Showman ship.. Indy will not be there and for some strange reason I can't see Gumpy going into a show ring lol

Yes, I could let her show bo...but be warned he will be a challenge because he loves his daddy and doesnt show well under other people. Not hard to handle just it will take a lot for her to get him fired up and not hunting for me. However, Tom Griffith I believe offered his goldens as well. If you dont want to use bo let me know and I will see if Tom already found someone for his goldens.

Now I just need to figure out how to run from disc dog to agility to conformation to dock jumping to weight pull to RNR K-9s to obedience to SchH to... We do too much stuff. Lol.

Kel have you thought about looking into cloning :-P What they wont run in terrier racing to LOL

Annie, actually... Aro did try lure coursing once. It was at a charity event and the news crew there early that morning wanted to film a few dogs on the course. So, we ran Aro and my friend's BC. They had a lure that ran through a miniaturized agility course (jumps, short tunnel, and an A-frame). Aro was all about doing the obstacles... just had zero interest in the lure. I think he went through the course just about as fast as most dogs did chasing the lure though anyway, with me directing him through and over everything. Lol. The other boys have never tried it... Jack and maybe Baako might be more interested... maybe I should enter them?! HAHA.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and braved the weather to volunteer and attend "Flint Goes To the Dogs". This benefit event was started by Thom, looking to help a friend in need, and grew to what we saw as a opportunity to introduce the public to the world of dog sports. We were able to bring in every UKC event (other then hounds) and well as non UKC events.
After the hours spent planning, Thom and I were very disheartened to see the weather reports. But we should have known the loyal and crazy dog folks would never let a little monsoon stop them.
