"I would have to double check on purebred status. People piss me off. Brother's friend comes up to me on Fri and asks if I know anyone interested in his GSD because he moved. Dog is left out at house alone...tied outside (said he couldn't leave it inside because it was going to the bathroom in the house and tearing it up....DUH!!) and now has some neighbor stopping over periodically to feed and water it. It's not a good situation. I have no idea if the dog has shelter or anything.... could find out more if someone would be interested.

Bottom line, from what I know of this guy, he's a very irresponsible pet owner and also has 2 other large breed dogs he said he's going to want to get rid of. GSD seems more of an emergency if it's left alone tied up outside."

The above was emailed to me by a friend. She is concerned for the dogs welfare. If anyone is looking or can point me toward a rescue let me know.

GSD Rescue of Central Indiana... run by Melody Miller. Fi she has room, that is the one I would recommend over any others.

Also, here are the GSD Rescues located in MI...

The first two are advertised as GSD Rescues on various sites, but really they take any breed, along with cats. The third is GSD Rescue of MI.
