Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
The fun match will start after the junior showmanship shows, I am
guessing around noon or so. The fun match is open to any purebred dog.
It does not have to be UKC or AKC registered.
To enter as a Junior the person has to be under the age of 18 and has
to have to have a UKC junior number. You can get that by calling UKC or
checking on line. There is no charge to get a junior number. A junior
does need to show a UKC registered dog. If you don't have one let me
know, I have 2 push button goldens that are great with juniors and
would be glad to bring one for you.
There is also going to many other acitvities going on. For more information contact Thom Hadfield at 810-922-5737.
I can be contacted at: tommvs@aol.com or 517-285-8866
The UKC is being very generous and has donated 2 UKC binders to the winners of the Jr Handler competition
Thanks you UKC

Also, do you know if they are dividing dogs up by Ch/GrCh/class or just by age alone?

Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
I just had to post after reading this. First of all Capital City Dog
Sports Association is very excited about coming to Flint and supporting
this worthy cause. The demo we will be putting on will encompass way
more than just Schutzhund. CCDSA is a club that trains and competes in
many different personal protection venues and I'm sure Cheryl has a
good program in mind for everyone from all of the different sports we
compete in and also just plain old personal protection scenarios.
Cheryl is an awesome speaker and I think everyone will enjoy what she
and the club have to offer. If you looked at the line up and thought,
oh I don't want to watch Schutzhund, trust me, you will thoroughly
enjoy the progam that Cheryl and the CCDSA will put on. Thanks for
inviting us and see you all on the 13th.

Lynnie and I will be there on and off throughout the weekend. (We have her sports schedule to plan around.) We wouldn't miss it for the world.
Thanks for all you do.

PS Thanks for the sticky
Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
That said one of the details is set up tear/down...If anyone is free that day and could offer a hand and/or has done it before and just wants to supervise please let me know
Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
Splashes will be $10 and $5 for each additional dog there after. I need some volunteers to help with the in between times to help teach people how to get their dogs going. For this volunteer work you can earn a free splash at the event.
Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
Great news!! I'm happy to hear that you will have dock jumping at your event. Have Fun everyone! It looks like a nice event for a great cause with lots to see and do

(soooo excited to try disc!)
Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
I email back and forth with Scott every so often... but I always just register on-site. Either way is fine and there isn't really any less hassle one way or the other. If there are a LOT of new people, it might be easiest to pre-register, though. Saves "line wait" times.
I'm happy to help with setup/tear down/newbie sport intros/etc... I'm not sure how much free time we'll have though.
Re: Flint goes to the dogs Sept 13th
And Thom, I'm planning to come up the night before so I should be able to help out the whole time.
